Fall wedding clients, Jenny & August, do not have long to wait for their big day. Autumn is a really beautiful time to shoot, and while the leafs are still green from summer, and on the trees, we ventured into Mt Douglas Park to snap some engagement pictures. Baby Liam .5 years old {Portraits}
Happy 6 months to Liam!
My Bff’s little man is so sweet & I really love watching him grow. To no surprise, he has been the most perfect baby for Sally & Buck, easy going, happy & so loving towards his family. A true Valentine’s Day baby. For our little session this time around, it was fun to giggle & swoon over little Liam. His smiles were to die for! I know that we can only get away with these silly photo shoots, for a few years, so Mommy & Auntie Karen will push our boundaries for alittle while yet!

Jon & Krista {Wedding}
I would never wish rain on any couple’s wedding day, but the days leading up to the weekend I felt it was just going to happen. When I woke up that morning, watched my traditional Saturday morning reality TV shows on the Slice Network, drinking my coffee, I had no fear… No fear because I have been in the situation before, in fact every summer, there is ONE day that you can just not control, and it pours. I also knew that in my heart I had the perfect couple for this kind of day. Easy going Jon & Krista. >> insert sign of relief here >>
The couple were married at Olympic View Golf Club. Beautiful flowers surrounded the them, done by the fabulous ladies of Verbena Floral Design, as well as guests who proclaimed they would see the couple through, no matter what life may throw their way. Such a great added touch to a sweet ceremony.
When it came to going for off site portraits, well all I can say is the couple & the wedding party were amazing. We managed to get every location as planned including an added field….. but not just any feild. This feild was AMAZING. Normally I’m a huge fan of long grass fields, during the summer, it’s no joke, I love them. They are my muse. But this feild was my sunshine for Jon & Krista, on a foggy, drizzly day. A bright yellow wheat feild in the middle of the country. The first wheat feild I had ever shot in, and it was so fantastic I am now in love. Period. I was so impressed how they day just seemed to flow and everyone, including myself, felt lucky to be part of the couples day.
Congrats to my lucky “rainy day” couple. It was a beautiful day.

Damien & Sonja {Wedding}
Damien & the beautiful Sonja, were married last week in all white draped ceremony at the Marriott Hotel, in Victoria. Siblings made up the couples wedding party, including Sonja’s three beautiful sisters, and twin flower girl nieces. The champagne and white colour scheme reflected the couples soft nature, and sweetness towards eachother.
It was a such great day full of love, dancing, and family… congratulations to Damein & Sonja.

Alayna & Colin {Wedding}
Alayna, is tall, beautiful, and a so easy going. So no exception to her wedding day, she was a stunning bride! I was able to work with her & handsome groom Colin for my video in early June, so it was wonderful to work with them on such an amazing day for them. Married at the Victoria Yacht Club, the sun was shining a very cool fog lingered over the water.
My favorite story was of a sliver of a shirt that Colin was wearing when they first met. Alayna kept the small bit of the plaid shirt with her the day of the wedding, which was a super cute gesture to the man she loves.
Congrats to Alayna & Colin. Simply beautiful.

Yuki {Portraits}
For those of you who do not know, my husband and I have purchased a home in Brentwood Bay, in September we will be moving a short drive from the city of Victoria, but the area I grew up in, so still very familiar.
With the move, we say goodbye to our Japanese friend Yuki. She has been staying with us since the Winter, and has had many cooking lessons with Derek, enjoyed the company of our dog (she misses her lab very much back home), and has increased her English vocabulary 100%.
Yesterday while the late sun was around and the fog lifted, I told Yuki that we would go out and take some images of her before she moved Saturday. She is normally very shy, but seem to really enjoy the camera, and told me it was always a dream of hers to be a model. So very sweet!

Just a few pictures from Rob & Bri’s wedding at Bri’s family farm in Ladysmith. The day was beautiful and Bri was amazing in her red dress. Such a bold dress for such a tiny framed Bri.

Well it’s finally on newsstands this week! The new issue of Weddingbells magazine featuring one of my adorable couples from last year, Britt & Ryan!
Check out their amazing backyard wedding that is full of sunshine yellow flowers, from the lovely ladies of Verbena Floral Design, and all of Britt’s creative talents from favors to her dress made by her best friend. I was so happy to have been their to capture the day, it was amazing…. and reflected the couple’s personalities to the T.

Rob & Bri {Engaged}
Calgary couple, Rob & Bri have been “phone pals” of mine over the past 8 months. Last week during Victoria’s little heat wave I met with them to shoot their engagement session at Cattle Point, during the favorite part of the evening with the amazing light it brings. After climbing trees’, and roaming beaches the couple where great about cooling off alittle in the Pacific Ocean, in their jeans. A little adventure for their engagement…. who could ask for anything better!
